What is HFT?
HFT is short for Hunter Field Target and is a shooting sport designed to test and improve the skills of Air rifle shooters.
You can use any rifle that is sub 12ftlb and there are categories for Open class, Recoiling, .22, Ladies, Veterans and Juniors.

Targets are shot from either the prone position (Laying down, often on a mat as above) or the kneeling position.
Free kneeling shots can go out to 35 yards with a 35mm kill.
Supported kneeling shots, can go out to 40 yards with a 35mm kill.
Free kneeling shots can go out to 35 yards with a 35mm kill.
Supported kneeling shots, can go out to 40 yards with a 35mm kill.
We also have standing shot's, these are either supported (often by a tree) or free standing.
Free standing shots can go out to 35 yards with a 35mm kill.

Targets come in all shapes and sizes.
15mm kill from 13 to 25 yards
20mm kill from 08 to 30 yards
25mm kill from 08 to 40 yards
30mm kill from 08 to 40 yards
35mm kill from 08 to 45 yards
15mm kill from 13 to 25 yards
20mm kill from 08 to 30 yards
25mm kill from 08 to 40 yards
30mm kill from 08 to 40 yards
35mm kill from 08 to 45 yards
